Post-lightsout thoughts

I wasn't in my best mood yesterday, because I felt scared. I'm sure most people are familiar with this feeling; the feeling of feeling like you don't belong, and the worst is that you are trying, you want to be a part of something.

Let me paint you a mental picture  (it might not completely make sense, i just hope this explains it a little bit better): When you're walking with three of your friends on a narrow paved pathway, they are all walking in a perfect horizontal line and you're in behind trying to fit in to join their line, but the pathway is just too narrow and so you're awkwardly stumbling. Then when you finally give up and stroll at the back, until that one friend notice you and walks together with you instead.

Well this scenario is the perfect way to describe my emotions ever since I got back to school. There are so many new students. It is so overwhelming. I didn't think that I would have to go through this since I was just a returning 2nd year student here. But I had to go through all of the meaningless conversations: "hi i'm from hong kong.. yeah... you?... oh that's cool... what classes do you take?..okay.. ". I don't like how the topics are so restricted when everyone is trying to meet as many people as possible. We have 3 years to know each other, what's the rush? I really don't get it. It shouldn't be about having the longest list of friends, it's should be about the amount of close friends you have.

And tonight, I felt like a friend finally noticed me, a newly made friend in fact. We actually bonded, found common interests, laughed and joked. Something I find very enjoyable, something that makes me truly happy.

alright, the melatonin has taken its toll. off to bed.
peace out girl scouts, sharon

It's 9:38 and my next class is at 11:25

My history teacher has to go to a meeting, so she assigned us an essay over the weekend on the French Rev. and gave us the class period today to finish it. I usually get really worried about essays so I begin outlining the moment I receive the assignment. As of right now, I have handed in my essay and currently chilling in the library with Mike Snow (read my last post if you have no idea who he is).

I left my book Sing Me Home in my room, so I think I'm just going to resort to tumblr and netflix (what else, right) for the next hour or so

I think I'm going to really like this week

to get red card, to get red card not

if you have read my last few posts, you would know that i had a brutal tennis game yesterday. well, today i'm even more tired and i just want to take a nap (i say i take a nap, but i just end up lying in bed watching saved by the bell or friends). i am so tired.. so so tired. i really want to skip practice but i feel guilty as a member of the team (even though most people skip practice all the time)...

good grief it's wednesday tomorrow (half-day of school fyeah)

My hands are dirty, and if my mom saw them she would ask me to wash them right away

I did some art homework today, the general process of printmaking does not make my hands dirty at all. It's the washing that does it. The ink water is stuck in the ridges of my fingerprints and I just don't have the patience to wash my hands for 10 minutes (eh maybe i'll just do it in the shower later).

I've been doing my math corrections for the past hour now... with no music on and I must say I work at a much faster pace without the distraction of the Black Keys, or Young the Giant (they're still awesome though).

I have 10 messages on skype that i still have left ignored (I sincerely apologize if you have sent me a message and are currently reading this post), I'm just not feeling like replying right now.
I promise I will get to you... soon.

Ugh, tomorrow is going to be a longass day.. looking forward to the 2-day weekend. jes.

p.s. my goal for this month is to blog more
hope you're enjoying reading the thoughts that go on in my brain every day
