photo diary of thanksgiving break in nyc

after spending a quality night eating a home-cooked thanksgiving meal with my sister, my best friend and my sister's best friend, i decided to spend the following night with my other friends who also lived in the city. I made a spontaneous decision of going to a Hoodie Allen concert with my friend Isabel, together with her friends. He is not the greatest performer, but it was still fun getting to meet her friends and random people at the concert. then i called up my friend, Martine, and we caught the midnight show of Hunger Games. The movie that we went to had reclining seats. There is nothing more perfect that sitting on those chairs with a large soda and chicken tenders.

thank god for a break

photo diary of my thanksgiving break in new york city.

i arrived the city on thanksgiving day, after several days of resting in my friend chloe's house. it was nice living in suburban connecticut, not having to be anywhere or do anything for once was such a relief. school gets crazy busy, especially in boarding school; there's always something going on or a deadline to meet. the last week of school is usually where the stress level hits its boiling point. unfortunately for me, i felt so helpless and drained out that i broke down. i was sent to counseling, so that they could "check on me", and make sure that i'm too stressed. to be honest none of that helped, because all i needed the break to come faster. after what seemed like one of the longest waits i have ever experienced, i hopped on that school bus finally relieved that i can get some sleep.

Karaoke night

Meeting up with some old friends (not tooo old). I'm going to be cliche and say it right here, "Things change, but friends stays the same"

Catching up

It's always great to catch up with close friends whom you haven't seen in a while. I'm so glad that I have a strong support system with people who understand me. We all have such different lives since we go to such different schools. Even though we're always so caught up with our busy lives, time spent together still feels the same, like we're just hanging out in Scarlett's house during lunch break back when we were all in SPCC. Love these girls.
